El Buen Fin 2026: a digital marketing plan for the two weeks before

El Buen Fin 2026 runs November 13–17. A week-by-week plan to get your site, offer, paid media, content and measurement ready before it starts.

Dates and what is different this year

The 16th edition of El Buen Fin, Mexico’s biggest shopping event, runs from Friday November 13 to Tuesday November 17, 2026: five days in a row, with Monday the 16th as a public holiday for the November 20 commemoration. That long weekend changes behavior: more people away from home, shopping on their phones.

Business registration is free on the official site until November 12. Published requirements include a tax ID (RFC), an active SAT tax mailbox, a positive tax compliance opinion and at least one electronic payment terminal. Registered stores can display a QR code linking to a page with their details, which is useful for building trust in ads and on social.

What 2025 showed

El Buen Fin 2025 reported sales of 219.2 billion pesos. The Mexican Online Sales Association (AMVO) estimated e-commerce contributed 45.9 billion pesos, about 21% of the total, with 31% annual growth. Mexico’s Banking Association reported that the digital channel represented 26% of card transaction value.

The practical takeaway is simple: digital is no longer a side channel. Even brands with physical stores compete for attention on the phone before customers leave home.

November 2–8: technical base and offer

  • Website. Check mobile speed, the full checkout and payment methods. Place a test order.
  • Tracking. Confirm Google Analytics, the Meta pixel, the Conversions API and Google Ads tags record purchases with value. Fixing it now is cheaper than rebuilding data later.
  • Offer. Set discounts, interest-free installments, shipping and dates per product. One clear offer beats ten half-promotions.
  • Inventory. Match the offer against real stock and switch off products you cannot fulfill.
  • Catalog. Update prices and availability in Merchant Center, Meta and any marketplaces you sell on.

November 9–12: warm up audiences

  • Tease the offer on social and open a waitlist by email or WhatsApp.
  • Increase reach and video budgets to build remarketing audiences before launch.
  • If you work with influencers, schedule their content for these days and day one of the event, with trackable links.
  • Protect your branded search on Google: in peak season, competitors bid on your name too.
  • Prepare each day’s ads in advance so you do not depend on last-minute approvals.

November 13–17: run on data

During El Buen Fin, review results at least twice a day: spend, cost per sale, best-selling products and stock. Move budget toward what converts and switch off what sells out. Have messages ready for the last two days, when people who compared but had not decided tend to buy.

Do not neglect customer service: slow replies on WhatsApp or site chat turn into abandoned carts.

Afterwards: what to measure

Compare sales against a baseline of normal weeks, not just last year’s Buen Fin. Separate new from returning customers, review returns and calculate the real acquisition cost. That data is the base for planning December and next year’s Hot Sale.
